The Wheel of Dreams

Sweat and pile up the simplicity of bricks.

Be brave and step on the wheels to move forward.

Intertwining sweat and bravery to build a solid dream.

 

Wheels, taking the concept of Freedom Cycling Team of Wai-Pu Junior High School and using the Mobius ring as the main image of the construct of the wheel, are standing for the symbol of rotation, leadership, and moving forward. It also emphasizes Wai-Pu Junior High School’s role as leader of education in the local area. The roads that the wheels pass by cut through green space and symbolize courage, faith, and moving forward without fear. The gravel roads will eventually be turned into green space, and in the globular basin inside the ring, round-leaf plants grow to form a ring-phase composition and convey the harmonious symbiosis between man and nature.

 

Bricks, as the basic materials of traditional buildings, are like the road of study and life. They quickly contribute diligently, stacking solidly and maintaining the spirit of not leaving the origin behind. This work uses traditional bricks to integrate the simple atmosphere of the local area of Wai-Pu. Through the echoing of the texture, the work integrates into the architectural space and brings out the tone that shows the harmonious co-construction.

揮灑汗水，去堆砌磚的樸實，

披上勇氣，去踩動讓輪前行，

在汗水與勇氣的交織下，築夢踏實。

 

輪，取外埔國中自由車隊為概念，以諾比烏斯環曲面構成輪的主體形象，象徵轉動、帶領、前行，亦彰顯外埔國中在地方上教育領頭的形象。輪所經之路劃開綠地，象徵著勇氣、信念，無畏前行，所經之礫石路終將化為綠地。而環型主體中，球狀盆器裡，生長出圓葉植物，環環相生構成的畫面，傳達人與自然的和諧共生。

 

磚，傳統建築的基本材料，如同求學乃至人生的道路，勤快地付出，扎實地堆疊，保持不忘本的精神。作品以傳統的磚材適切地融入外埔地區鄉土樸實的氛圍，透過質地的呼應讓作品融入於建築空間，彼此共構和諧的調性。
