大河彼端．河堤校園劇場

Beyond the River

 

In earlier times, people settled near to water resources for their daily water needs, and thus they built villages along the riverbank. Nowadays, in modern cities, the riverbank is still a site where people get together for leisure activities. Either in the past or at present, rivers gather people in different ways. Based on these concepts, Beyond the River attempts to create the image of a river, which provides a place for sharing and exchanging. “The hand of the earth” constitutes a stage for children to perform, and the encircling constructions form audience areas, which expand from the horizontal space of the courtyard to the vertical surrounding buildings. Through the installation of Beyond the River, a campus theatre is created.

 

從前的生活仰賴水源，人們自然地在河流沿岸形成聚落，隨著城市發展的現代，河流仍然聚集起人們的休閒活動。無論過去或現在，河流皆依不同形式凝聚著人們。「大河彼端」創作理念源自於此，期待形塑大河印象，凝聚人們在場域中的交流。

「大河彼端」展現一個詩意的想像空間，如繪本般地演出一段冒險故事，葉子順著河流開啟了探險旅程，經過瀑布與礁石的重重關卡，終將來到奇幻的美麗新世界。環形的河流座椅彰顯河堤印象，圍塑出劇場的觀眾席，馬賽克拼貼的小魚悠游其中，長成大魚，象徵著生生不息，期許著河堤學子平安成長。

象徵大地之母的巨大雙手，以藝術雕塑的形式詮釋展演舞台，融入圍裹式的校舍建築，將觀賞範圍由中庭草地的水平空間擴張至建築的垂直空間，創造河堤校園劇場，讓孩子們驕傲地踏上舞台，創造嶄新的故事篇章。
